Het boek behandelt op een uiterst toegankelijke manier de relatie tussen taal en werkelijkheid, en de psychologische implicaties van goed en fout taalgebruik, en van taalmisbruik.
    Wendell Johson  (Wikipedia)  (home page) is een psycholoog, die gespecialiseerd was in de behandeling van stotteren.
